Woa, so this is like weird, I havent done an official update in a while it seems. Shame on me (sorry I had exams! My future comes first!) But yes... I'm on holiday! Hurrah! And... I'm on SparkLife! Another hurrah! It's like my dream. And when my dream finally comes true, my creative juices run dry. Man, doesn't that just suck? I feel that studying has exhausted my imagination and it may be a while before I get back into the swing of things, so for now I'll leave you with a message from my new favourite person, Zach Braff. He is, the man. He really should be paying me for advertising on this site, but its a favour for a friend, plus maybe I might get to be his assistant one day! :O So without further ado, I give you...

Thank God it's Friday! This week has been going so incredibly slow, this weekend could not have gotten here any sooner. And what's even more incredible is that we have ANOTHER update! (Twice in one month, incredible!) I have been an eager little beaver and have updated with a review of the new Pride and Prejudice (now available on DVD and VHS) and ponder on birthday vouchers and the new Death Cab for Cutie album. So read of the reviews this weekend, and don't forget to make like an ice block and chill (although perhaps the cold winter weather has already got you sussed.) My, my how times flies. It has been a while since I have updated, but have no fear! The writer's block has ceased and over the holidays I have built up a number of articles which will be winging your way tres soon. But for now I've updated with a re-cap of the new Gilmore Girls season, and I grieves me to say that the weather is looking stormy for Stars Hollow. So check that out, and if you don't watch, maybe it's a good time to start. Sundays 5.30pm on 2. As they say there is no time like the present.

Which brings me to say; it was my birthday on the 24th! Schnapps for Mel! :)

Hey hey hey! It's an update! I'm very pleased to announce that mellife is... expanding. :O We've taken on board new columnists to brighten your day (or warn you about what not to watch at the movies...) In film we've got a new article by Red on the new movie Tristan and Isolde and of course the coveted 'Producers' fail to deliver. So that's all for now, watch this space! Hallejuah it's Friday! You clearly can't have much to do if you're reading this right now, otherwise you have impeccable taste in your reading material. Well I'm proud to say I have updated, hurrah! Most notably at the moment would be the new culture section, featuring Franz Ferdinand and Valentines Day, which actually occcured exactly 10 days ago. I have to say mine this year would be the most definitive of my life time, and nothing really happened anyway. So I've collated a top 5 list ways of making people feeling good on Valentines Days. So snoop around, who knows, you may be wooing someone next year ;)

I'd like to welcome 'The Hobbitess' as our new and regular columnist to mel life. She'll have her own column called 'With Sympathy' which will feature usless yet enlightening pieces of information to brighten your day.

We also have the fashion column starting up which will feature regular Trend of the Week. This week will feature stripes: to how to and how not to and what hot buys you can find.
